Athlone Photography Club is delighted to announce the launch night of its 2025/2026 season, taking place on Wednesday the 3rd September at 8:00pm in Abbey Road Artist Studios, Athlone.
With over a decade of fostering a vibrant community of photographers, the club continues to be a hub for enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to experienced professionals.
Last season featured unforgettable moments — including a talk by award-winning photographer James Crombie, an inspiring evening with Ronan Pallister, hands-on model shoots, and the launch of our acclaimed “People of Athlone” community portrait project (sponsored by the West-Midlands Credit Union).
This year’s programme is packed with opportunities to build your skills, meet fellow photography enthusiasts, and take part in exciting creative projects. Members can look forward to the next chapter of our “People of Athlone” portrait project, talks by professional photographers and creatives, workshops on everything from portraiture to image editing, photo-walks, field trips, club competitions, and networking opportunities to connect with other photographers and share ideas.
There will also be a Beginner Photography Workshop, perfect for anyone starting out or looking to refresh their skills.
Annual membership is open to those over 18 years of age, and it gives full access to all of the club activities, events, talks, and outings.
With rates set at €75 for regular members, €60 for students and seniors, and a family* rate of €110.
The active term of the club runs from September to June and offers excellent value for anyone looking to improve their photography and connect with a creative local community.
