Big Hug, by Sébastien Rolland (a past Challenge entry)
On January the 7th, Athlone Photography club would like to welcome Charlie O’Donovan to offer critique on our Autumn Challenge.
Every quarter, the APC committee encourages its members to submit 3 of their photos, taken in the last 3 month, which are then judged by an external Advanced Photographer. In this quarter, Charlie O’Donovan, member of the Cork Camera Group will go through each of them and explain what he liked and what could be improved.
Beyond the academic score (out of 20) provided, such feedback from an external specialist is invaluable for the club’s members. Often, a good photo can become a great photo, with very little advice and editing (cropping, sharpening, dodging and burning). This is the main purpose of the exercise.
After the critique which usually lasts around 60 min, Charlie will show some of his own photos.
