Podge Kelly is one of Ireland’s most respected photographers and educators, with over 30 years’ professional experience and a reputation that extends internationally. His photographic journey began when he received a 35mm rangefinder camera for his 21st birthday—a gift from his then-girlfriend, now wife. What started as a hobby quickly developed into a ifelong passion and career, taking him from amateur enthusiast to award-winning professional.
For more than two decades, Podge has worked across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and the US, photographing weddings, portraits, and creative projects, while building an extensive record of exhibitions and awards. His work has been shown in nternational salons in Argentina, Austria, China, Estonia, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, and Scotland, both individually and as part of Ireland’s representation in the FIAP Biennials. He has also exhibited in Russia, with the Yekaterinburg Gallery of Photo acquiring his images for their permanent collection. Podge is a two-time winner of the Maltese International Open Competition and has held several successful solo exhibitions in Dublin.
